Balance over taxation say young farmers

The Dutch young farmers’ association (NAJK) have come out in favour of balance over taxation, Chairman Wilco de Jong explains.

Mr. de Jong stresses the necessity of balanced food consumption as paving the way towards addressing obesity and overweight in society. He sees no benefit in a tax on fat, sugar or any specific ingredient as they key thing in limiting the frequency and amount of food consumed, but does promote the need for a balance in that regard.
